✶ The plain version
Privacy
How Focus Immersion handles your data, in plain language. No advertising trackers, no selling of data — just what's needed to run the site and the study tools.
Collection
What we collect
If you request sign-in to a study app, we store your email address so we can send a one-time sign-in code and check it against the invite list.
For all visitors, we keep a basic visit log — a truncated IP address (the final part is removed so it does not identify you), a rough approximate location, and some general details about your visit, such as the page viewed and the kind of browser or device used. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
Purpose
Why we collect it
Your email is used only to operate invite-only sign-in — sending your code and confirming access. It is never sold or shared for marketing.
The visit log exists so we can understand how the site is used and protect it from abuse. Because IPs are truncated, it is not used to identify individual people.
Update notifications
Launch & update signup
If you submit your email address through the notification signup on this site, that address is stored so we can send occasional updates — for example, when something new launches or a significant change ships. We store it ourselves; it is not passed to a mailing-list service or marketing platform.
The address is never sold or shared. You can ask to be removed at any time by emailing hello@focusimmersion.com and we will delete it promptly.
Processors
Who else is involved
We rely on established third-party providers to operate the site — for hosting and delivery, database and sign-in, font delivery, and approximate location lookup. In the normal course of serving the site, some of these providers may receive your IP address. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Retention & rights
Keeping and removing data
Email addresses are kept while you are an invited user. Visit logs are kept only for a limited time and then deleted.
You can ask to see or delete any data we hold about you at any time — just email hello@focusimmersion.com and we'll take care of it.
Affiliates
Affiliate links
Some outbound links to books and study materials are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, Focus Immersion earns from qualifying purchases. This adds nothing to your price, and it never changes which materials we recommend.
Credits
Audio & content credits
Some single-letter pronunciations on the alphabet pages are real human recordings sourced from Wikimedia Commons and the Lingua Libre project, licensed under Creative Commons terms (CC BY-SA and CC0). Example sentences in Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Russian are voiced with synthesized speech using native-language voices. Hebrew Tanakh verse audio consists of human cantillated recordings by Rabbi Dan Be'eri (via the Internet Archive) and the PocketTorah project, licensed CC BY-SA 3.0; our per-verse clips are derived from those recordings and shared under the same license. Audio plays only when you press play.

Corrections & suggestions
These reference lists are compiled carefully, but can still contain errors — a wrong reading, a mis-tagged word, a missing entry. If you spot a mistake, or simply have a suggestion, we'd like to hear it: email hello@focusimmersion.com. Every note is read and reviewed.
